Your QR code stays in your browser

The application creates QR codes and bonsai artwork on your device. It does not send the destination you type to a QR-generation service or fetch that website. Downloads are created locally.

Sharing a bonsai

A share link contains the destination and chosen color. This information is encoded, not encrypted: anyone with the link can read it. Avoid sharing passwords, private access links, or other confidential information. New links keep this data after the # sign, which browsers do not send in the initial web request. Older links using query parameters can appear in hosting request logs.

Social sharing buttons open the service you select and include your bonsai link. Those services apply their own privacy policies. Visiting a QR destination opens a separate website; BonsaiQR does not verify or endorse its content.

Cookies and tracking

The application does not set cookies, use browser storage to save preferences, or include analytics or advertising scripts. Hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, request details, and security cookies to deliver and protect the site. Those practices depend on the hosting configuration.

Hosting

Requests for the website pass through the hosting provider. BonsaiQR is operated from the United States. For privacy questions or requests, contact jacob.voyles@amai.studio. Hosting logs follow the provider’s configured retention. We do not operate a database of QR destinations. Hosting providers may process data in the United States and other locations. Any future analytics will be reviewed and this notice updated before it is enabled. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
